The Staple Singers Album Cover

Course: Graphic Design II

Professor: Jason Dilworth

Application: Procreate, Illustrator, Photoshop

This album cover was created based on “Soul Folk In Action” by The Staple Singers, released in 1968. Members included Roebuck “Pops” Staples and his children Mavis, Cleotha, and Pervis. When the civil rights movement took off in the 1960s, The Staple Singers became involved and became friends with Martin Luther King, Jr. “Soul Folk In Action” has a double meaning: making music while in a movement towards a shared purpose.
